Darshan | Seeing

This solo exhibition incorporates aspects of Indian and Western painting and explores the boundaries between abstract and representational imagery, color and form, and direct and indirect painting technique. Through these juxtapositions, the works engage questions of appropriation, otherness, hierarchy and the role of contemporary painting.

Outlier, an exhibition of new paintings and works on paper at M.F. Husain Gallery at Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, India. The exhibition is open through April 22, 2014.
Taos sage fields
Images from Toronto, where I spent four weeks working at the Open Studio print shop in December 2011 and January 2012. Their lithography facilities are superb. Two works in progress, on 36 x 24 inch stones, are pictured above.
The exhibit, consisting of seventy-one paintings, opened on October 8, 2010. It included eight paintings from the Galileo series and six paintings from the Hydra- Abu Ghraib series. DePree Gallery is at Hope College in Holland, Michigan.
